Leadership Beyond Academia: Insights from Women Vice Presidents

This session will highlight the work and stories of vice presidents in areas such as Information Technology, Continuing Education, Finance, and Outreach. While the mission of any college or university is centered on the education and development of students, there are multiple other organizational areas necessary for institutional success. This panel of women vice presidents leading in spaces other than academic and student affairs offer interesting leadership stories and lessons to share. Their prior experiences in businesses and industries outside of education contribute to their styles and effectiveness as leaders. This session will begin with a few scripted questions, and then open to questions and interaction with the audience.
