The Way Up Conference 2024: Knowledge, Growth, and Perseverance on The Way Up

When students transition into higher education they receive significant support like extended orientation programs, peer mentoring, and special retention services. Yet, as they graduate we often fail to support their transition into the world of full-time work. This session will share information from a nationwide survey as well as the details of a 15-week, curriculum coordinated exit program that exists at the University of Northern Iowa. The Next Step program crosses invisible boundaries at the university to do what we ought: support students.
